About This Design
The Owlbear Cub was already small enough to follow the party around. Apparently that still was not small enough.
We redrew the character in our chibi style specifically for a 30mm metal coin, simplifying the shapes and linework so the Owlbear remains recognisable after laser engraving rather than relying on colour printing.
The illustration is permanently engraved into the stainless steel on both sides, giving the artwork a tactile, monochrome finish that feels different from our printed acrylic and ceramic collectibles.
A polished gold PVD edge adds a warmer contrast around the engraved steel while keeping the coin small enough to carry in a pocket, display beside dice, or add to a fantasy coin collection.
Every Owlbear illustration is drawn in-house by our artist before being adapted to the final material and engraving process.
The result is part chibi fan art, part fantasy token, and probably the easiest Owlbear companion to fit into a pocket.
