About This Design
He came out mid-sentence, which is the only state he is ever really in. The fangs are out and the eyebrows are doing most of the work, and if you look at him for longer than a second the expression resolves from menacing into something closer to theatrical. That was the intention.
Pale hair on pale skin was the technical problem. Three near-identical shades of off-white, all of which vanish into each other in felt, separated in the end by a black outline heavier than we would ever draw on paper. The cape is cut as its own layer so it falls away from the body instead of sitting flush against it.
