About This Design
The coffin was the first decision, and everything else followed from it.
Astarion is a vampire spawn with a flair for drama, so turning the Pale Elf into a coffin-shaped badge felt almost inevitable.
We drew Astarion specifically for the shape rather than adapting an existing portrait to fit inside it. The narrow coffin silhouette gave us room to keep the character recognisable while still making the badge feel different from a standard round pin.
The artwork is finished with a double-glitter effect that catches the light around the illustration and gives the badge an extra flash without covering the character details.
The result is a simple metal pin badge with a little more drama than usual — which feels appropriate for Astarion.
Every illustration is drawn in-house by our artist and produced as an independent fan-made BG3 collectible.
