About This Design
This design started as a ceramic coaster and turned out to work even better small.
The border does most of the work — curling vines, thorn-like details and a turn-of-the-century decorative composition surrounding Astarion’s portrait.
We wanted the finished piece to feel less like a standard character magnet and more like a tiny vintage tile someone might have found in an old European interior.
The oxblood red and cream palette gives the artwork a darker, more romantic feel than our chibi Astarion designs, while the raised textured surface adds tactile depth beneath the glossy finish.
At just 5cm across, the ceramic format keeps the piece compact enough for a refrigerator or locker without losing the Art Nouveau framing around the portrait.
Every Astarion illustration is drawn in-house by our artist before being adapted to the final material and size.
The result sits somewhere between BG3 fan art, gothic fridge decor and a miniature piece of decorative tilework.
